USA Junior Olympic Volleyball - Delta Region
About Our Program:
Little Rock Juniors Volleyball Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to introduce the
fundamentals of volleyball to beginners and teach intermediate and advanced skills to experienced young female
athletes in the Central Arkansas area.
Learning proper fundamentals at a young age is key to future success. During the 2007 - 2008 season Little Rock
Juniors will be implementing a new developmental program for our younger athletes to insure that they learn proper
form and technique.
For the advanced athlete, proper training, skill building, learning advanced techniques and gaining valuable
experience is essential to success.
Our club's focus is on providing each athlete with a positive learning experience on a physical, mental, social and
competitive level. We believe strengthening these qualities are necessary to build skills, self-confidence, team unity
and will contribute to the overall development of junior athletes.
Little Rock Juniors creates the strongest and most competitive teams to compete successfully within the athlete's
specific age classification and we encourage and help athletes pursue higher education by providing maximum
exposure to collegiate programs in the nation.
Little Rock Juniors structures our program to be in full compliance with the State and NCAA rules and regulations as
understood. However, our club strongly advises all players and parents to educate themselves on all State and
NCAA rules to insure that no infractions occur.
This program requires a tremendous dedication of time and money. Athletes are expected to attend all practices
and tournaments and give the coach and their teammates their best effort. Many Arkansas female athletes hope to
participate in volleyball throughout their college years. The Junior Olympic volleyball experience is becoming very
important to those wishing to compete at the collegiate level. College scouts and recruiters attend many of the
tournaments we compete in. The money you invest in your daughter and the JO program may be little compared to
the money your daughter may earn through athletic scholarships.
