Age Definitions for 2011-
2012 Season
18 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1993, OR
born on or after 9/1/1992 and a high school
student during some part of the academic year.
17 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1994
but before 9/1/1995
16 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1995
but before 9/1/1996
15 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1996
but before 9/1/1997
14 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1997
but before 9/1/1998
13 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1998
but before 9/1/1999
12 & Under: Born on or after 9/1/1999
Age Definitions Chart
Competitions are once or twice a month at local/regional USAV tournaments.
Tournaments are usually one or two days and may require overnight travel.
•
National Team program -- For the more experienced, Elite volleyball
player interested in the highest level of competition. Players must be
able to attend all practices and tournaments. Teams will compete in a
minimum of 7 tournaments and will compete in a National tournament.
•
Club Team program -- For players interested in a competitve team
program within the region. Team will compete in a minimum of five
tournaments.
•
Metro team program. -- For players interested in a development
program (less travel and committment). Teams will compete in a
minimum of three tournaments.
ALL Teams practice twice a week.
The Club Season starts in November and ends for most teams in
April. A few teams traveling to National Championships will
compete through June or early July.

Location: Tryouts will be held at the UALR Field House with
the exception of Nationals which will be held at the UALR Jack
Stevens Arena.

Directions: To access the Field House, you MUST enter campus from S. University at University Campus Drive. Do Not enter
at 28th street. The entrance to University Campus Drive is approximately one block North of the Asher & University Ave
intersection across from Town & Country Drive. follow the drive through campus until it dead ends and turn left toward the “Road
Closed” barricade. Enter parking LOT 2 on the right to park. Cross the street and enter the Field House through the triple glass
doors.
To access the Jack Stephens Arena, you MUST enter campus from S. University at 28th Street. Enter the arena on the ground
level to the right of the main stairway.
Below dates are for CLUB and METRO teams, with the exception of Monday, 10/31/11 which is restricted to
players that are trying out for the NATIONAL team program. Players trying out for the National team
program should also attend the regular session tryout for their age group.

NO MAKEUP DATES: If you are unable to attend your assigned tryout date, please email
admin@lrjuniors.com with your name, assigned age group and the date closest to your age group that
you are able to attend. We will attempt to work with you so that you can complete a tryout session.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MAKEUP TRYOUTS CAN NOT BE COMPLETED ON OCT. 31st. This session
is reserved strictly for players trying out for a National team.
Cost and Fee Schedule
*Total Fees do not include additional expenses for hotel and travel related costs; or costs for
uniform items.
Fees for National teams includes entry into 7 tournaments (which includes entry into one bid-
qualifier and the AAU or USAV National tournament); as well as the coaches fee and hotel expenses
for travel to the national tournament.
