Tournaments:
The objective of a tournament is to give teams an opportunity to compete against various teams in the state and
country. The team coach is responsible for the composition of the team. Players will be played at the discretion of the
coach. Playing time is not guaranteed in any game, match or tournament, although coaches will make an effort that
each player gets floor time at some point throughout the season. The level of competition, the ability of the athlete, the
needs of the team and the importance of the tournament or match will dictate the amount of playing time each player
will get on the court.
Mandatory Tournaments:
The Little Rock Juniors Board of Directors will determine the location and number of mandatory tournaments teams will
play in each season. Tournament registration for these mandatory tournaments will be handled by the club and the
annual tournament fee assessed to players will be based on the total registration fees of the tournaments selected.
Travel, meals and lodging are the responsibility of the parents. Hotels will be booked by the club's Travel Director so
that we may obtain the best room rate possible when traveling as a club; however, it is the responsibility of each parent
to confirm and make payment on their room reservation.
Additional Tournaments:
Additional tournaments are at the discretion of each team. Teams may choose to attend additional tournaments.
These will be voluntary and the costs (tournament registration fee and the coach's fee) will be shared by those players
attending the tournament. The Team Parent will be responsible for handling the tournament registration and making
lodging arrangements for the team.
Travel:
All players are expected to stay with their parent or another team member when traveling.
Players MAY NOT drive themselves or other players to out of town tournaments. Players must be accompanied by a
parent at all times.
Coaches MAY NOT transport any player, under any circumstances, traveling to out-of-town sites. In-town carpooling is
permissible with the parent's permission.
